The Olive House
THE OLIVE HOUSE, located at 113 N. Olive, was in the middle of the University of Arizona campus. First rented by Peter Hubbell in the late 1950’s, it was home base for a disparate band of students, former students, aspiring students, and hangers on. Music was one of the things that brought us together, and a heady mix of home brew, anti-authoritarianism, wit, humor and the burgeoning political and sexual revolutions kept us connected.

Past Reunions
July 2000 the Olive House, or at least everyone we could find, had a reunion in Tucson. There was a lot of picking and singing and drinking of beer and margaritas and eating of Mexican food. We had another reunion in 2005, and several other gatherings. It seems like everyone has had such a good time, many are moving back to the scene of the crimes (Tucson). This continues to provide opportunities for more parties, dinners, music, and is doing great things for the already impressive folk music scene in Tucson. See photos from 2002 reunion here.

Carol came up with the idea of an Olive House reunion during a phone conversation with Gail Gibbons. The First Olive House Reunion took place at the Varsity Inn (thanks to Tom Pitts) in July 2000. Many of the attendees hadn’t connected in 30 years.
